Before you are going to hurl labels at someone, make sure you know what the hell they mean.

so·cial·ism
/ˈsōSHəˌlizəm/
Noun
A political and economic theory of that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated...
Why did you chop off the words after "regulated"?

Rhetorical question.

The means of production have always been owned by someone so that's not socialism. Neither is a belief in regulating business socialism.

I bet their are other sources, but the source from the organization itself I believe is the most reputable.
In that case, could you link to it directly from their website?

No, actually it is not my definition.
Please see:

How about the Oxford Dictionary?

Definition of socialism
noun
[mass noun]
a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Now do you have an apology for me?

This is all besides the point.
Two people I assume from the left have ignored the question and attacked me.

It doesn't change the basic premise though

If you consider yourself or your ideology 'leftist' as opposed to 'right'.
Would you vote for an congressman who was a member of the Democratic Socialists of America?

Liberals love to change the meaning of words.

Witness their current attempt to redefine marriage and Bill Clinton's assertion that "it depends what the meaning of 'is' is".

Bill Clinton has trouble telling the truth.

As so many liberals.

I know WND often maligned by the left is a decent and relevant source of information.

so why don't you follow the link I provided?

Also please note it is ridiculous for anyone who watches ABC or MSN to insinuate any other source is biased.

I agree.
I consider myself a liberal as noted, not defined by F.A. Hayek in the Road to Serfdom.

However with the left re-definition the term has become so repugnant it is difficult to reclaim it.
