What is ironic is that welfare used to be LIFETIME benefits until it was reduce to 5 years total maximum... then the "new" welfare now is "disability" which multiplied by a HUGE amount when people couldn't go on welfare benefits forever... disability is the new welfare which I think is incredibly wrong because it takes away a lot of money from people with REAL disabilities...

Interesting, the highest number of those in poverty are in the bright red southern states, where the lowest are those is bright blue states in the north east. I guess facts lie

So what! Look at the statistics of which states top the welfare list and you will see that they are not the red states but they are the blue states. Damn! Go figure huh? I guess you don't like to face the real facts.

Once again. Many folks think the Moocher states are all in the south because of lower wages and a large poor population based on national standards. Not so. The top recipient is Vermont. Now one can undersand why Vermont elects socialist Bernie Sanders to the Senate. The next states on the list are Mississippi, Maine, New York, Massachusetts, and Alaska. Hold it, aren’t most of them Democrat Governed and Union States?

So you are arguing for the end of welfare? Sounds good to me. Will Obama go along with it? I think not.

If you believe half of what you post, you must be insane. Perhaps driven insane by your hatred of individual freedom?

But if you are for the end of welfare, this time I agree with you. But I don't for a minute think you really want an end to welfare. It is part of the left's 'Great Society', where the government controls our lives and collects our earnings to be redistributed fairly (as the progressive government bureaucrats see it).

The point of the thread and my responses to it, are pointing out the facts that the poorest, least educated, and largest number of leaches on society, all are from the most heavily GOP areas. It furthers the facts confirming the correlation between poverty, low intelligence, and being a GOP supporter.

And the facts show that you are wrong, but you apparently do not have enough education to comprehend what is shown to you.
Most of the minorities in this country support the democratic party, and this is where the poverty, lower intelligence comes into play. Get the facts before you post.

Since you're so liberal you'd certainly agree we need to end welfare for everyone to get these GOP leaches off poverty?

Don.t avoid the question, just answer it.
