Just as long as nobody dares to spank the little princess! That would be horrible!

Zero tolerance people. This is what you wanted. Now you have it and don't like it.

The family of a 6-year-old Georgia girl is upset at police and school officials after the girl was handcuffed and taken to a police station for allegedly throwing furniture, tearing items off the walls and knocking over a shelf, which injured the principal.

U.S. News - Kindergartner handcuffed, taken to police station after allegedly throwing tantrum -- and furniture
The fear of lawsuits is so overwhelming in this country that the staff are undoubtedly afraid to touch the child to even restrain her. That is probably why this ridiculous event occurred. Not the first time either. I think we are reading about more and more of these kind of things.

well! SO WHATS WRONG WITH THAT! , SHE WENT TO SCHOOL TO LEARN ! and I think she learned a big lesson that day, when told to sit you had better sit , when told to stop doing something you had better stop. She was being distructive and if thats what had to be done ,so be it.

I have no problem with this since the alternative was getting physical with her. Sounds like she was having a out of control fit.

A nice little trip behind the woodshed for a one-on-one with a belt or switch might cure her, if it's not too late. This kid is out of control.

Agreed - the kid needs a spanking from the parents - NOT to be handcuffed, arrested, placed in a jail cell, and charged with a crime.

Come to think of it - whoever the moron who decided that doing the above was appropriate for a six year old child needs a trip behind the woodshed themselves.

Looks like mom/dad is going to have a bundle on her hands best to nip it in the bud now.

I don't think that spanking was the appropriate reaction to this situation but having said that, I have yet to meet a six year old that I would be incapable of physically restraining.

When parents didn't hesitate to spank their own children, it was not even remotely considered necessary for cops to physically restrain 6-year-olds.
