Its no wonder the Right Wingers are lining up behind Zimmerman. They hate the blacks the most, followed by Hispanics. Plus Zimmerman has a white father.

So between a black man and a half hispanic man, the choice is obvious.

So you are proposing a language police with fines for not speaking in English?

Bigots have a heirachy. Non-Black Hispanics are higher on the totem pole than Blacks.

I can speak English perfectly fine and if I choose to I'll speak Spanish all day long (in public even!) when I'm home in Miami, thankfully we have that choice in this country. Maybe you'd a prefer to live in a country with laws that forbid that?

I thought your angry was only towards illegals? Thanks for proving to us that it's also towards Hispanic Americans

Not only that on a cost adjusted basis it could be argued that the Cuban immigrants received more aid in the form of business loans, educational assistance and other social benefits than any other immigrant group in American history.

Cuban American - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quote:
In order to provide aid to recently arrived Cuban immigrants, the United States Congress passed the Cuban Adjustment Act in 1966. The Cuban Refugee Program provided more than $1.3 billion of direct financial assistance. They also were eligible for public assistance, Medicare, free English courses, scholarships, and low-interest college loans. Some banks even pioneered loans for exiles who did not have collateral or credit but received help in getting a business loan. These loans enabled many Cuban Americans to secure funds and start up their own businesses. With their Cuban-owned businesses and low cost of living, Miami, Florida and Union City, New Jersey (dubbed Havana on the Hudson,)[10] were the preferred destinations for many immigrants and soon became the main centers for Cuban American culture. Union City had the opportunities offered by the embroidery industry.

What difference does it make to you? How can you possibly get offended when people that you don't know, that aren't talking to you decide amongst themselves to converse in a language you don't understand? What harm does it do to you to hear Spanish or any other language while you are out in public? You have the right to make your own home an English only zone, but while you are out in public you have no standing to demand that people only speak your preferred language.

The real deal is that language is one way one group manifests cultural dominance other another. That what "assimilation" is really all about.
