Conservatives say and do the darndest things. They're usually good for a laugh, even though that makes them furious with rage. Maher does a good job of it.
The same as that of hundreds of other rock stars dating back to the fifties who did the same thing. Jerry Lee Lewis married his cousin when she was 13.
So, in other words, if someone else is immoral, it's okay to follow his actions? Do you hear any Democrats defending John Edwards for cheating on his wife and denying he had a child? I don't. I don't know any liberals who think Anthony Weiner was right when he sent pics of his body to women. But when someone who represents the Republican Party does anything illegal, immoral or unethical, the conservatives seem to make excuses for him. They even gave Ted Stevens his own holiday. So, even when you're caught stealing, it's okay and something to celebrate, as long as you're not a Democrat.
I don't have to defend anyone. I know who I'm voting for regardless of what Nugent has done in his life.
If Obama had sex illegally when he was young - and you found out about it today, would you still vote for him?
Even if he did things equally as repulsive as the things Ted did -- I am almost positive you'd still vote for Obama this fall.

"IF" Romney hadn't actively sought out Nugent's endorsement, just because he knew that would make NRA members happy, we probably wouldn't still be talking about this.
"IF" Nugent hadn't been a pants crapping draft dodger, then we wouldn't be talking about that.
"IF" Nugent didn't freely admit to having a thing for underage girls, then we couldn't call him the pedophile that he is.
"IF" Nugent hadn't gone on record, calling for heads to be cut off of legally elected Democratic officials in November, then these threads would probably have died on the first day.

First of all, Ted Nugent isn't running for office. Both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are good family men.
Secondly, we're not talking about what people did or did not do when they were teenagers. Ted Nugent isn't a teenager. He's even older than I am! (gosh, maybe I should like him more)
