We came back stronger after the 2000 tech crash and then 9/11 than we have during this administration. We had our best years during Bush and would love to see that economy return. So what happened to jump starting the economy with the huge stimulous fund...oh yeah, GSA had to spend it in Vegas. So much for those construction workers getting any.

He is a prewsident of excuses to deflect from the results of his raising the deficit spending in less tha four years beyond what Bush did in eight years. Four years of massive spendig with the resuts being as we now see. The economy has made most its gains since the democrats loss the house at midterm.More jobs have also been created .Democrats haven't even tasted the pain of paying for that spendig yet and it starts in january I ebeleive under the debt ceiling agreement.Their only solution is trhe same polices that lead to this in more spending and taxing the rich to stay above water until the economy is in crisis like europe;while blaming the rich for not providing more jobs.

This would be laughable if it weren't so incredibly alarming to know that people who can actually vote think this way. We have a sitting POTUS who has abused his powers and defecated all over the Constitution like no other and you want to re-elect him because you think all Republicans are a danger to political process and the Constitution?

Exactly. Don't forget what happened from 1/20/09 until the ship is righted on 1/20/13.

Second, Reagan blamed Carter way into his term.

This is from Reagan's 1982 State of the Union address:
"The problems we inherited were far worse than most inside and out of government had expected; the recession was deeper than most inside and out of government had predicted. Curing those problems has taken more time and a higher toll than any of us wanted."

Right now, insurance companies decide if you get medical care. Under the ACA, they cannot discriminate against those with pre-existing conditions and many other provisions that help patients. Moreover, millions who have no coverage, will.

The only loss of freedom that I see is your freedom of disease.
Forgot about this little gem did we?

The good years under Bush was a gasoline fire. Such fires burn fast and furious, but go out quick, and after that there is nothing left but ashes.

He fueled the housing bubble by 40 or so deregulation bills because his goal was to get low income people into houses they could not afford. For example on one occation he said in front of TV cameras that his mission was to get 5.5 low income hispanics into homes, and he would do it by lowerind standards and helping with down payment. These people didn't have to invest anything into these homes, and had absolutely nothing to lose by walking away form the mortgage after stuffing their pockets with HELOC money.
