A more efficient light bulb
I will wait for the reviews after 20 years.

I ignore Earth Day. However, I do things to conserve water, electricity, and gasoline in order to save money. My electric water heater is set to 120 degrees, my windows have solar screens, I keep my AC coils clean, I take Navy showers, we use a top load HE clothes washer, when we needed to replace our TVs we went with LED, for small baking we use a toaster oven, and I drive softly wringing out 22.5 mpg with my V6 car's AC running in city driving from my 9 year old sedan. Wish I could cut grass with a reel mower but it doesn't work well in my yard. We always keep our trash in a trash can and pick up any trash that blows into our yard. We don't have curbside recycling but we recycle our newspapers by giving them to a friend who has pet birds. I recycle my magazines by donating them to the hospital ER waiting area. I gave up soda several years ago and now drink water from a filter water pitcher.

What grinds my gears about Earth Day are these celebrities who promote this stuff telling others how to live when it's an obvious "do as I say, not as I do" situation (except for Ed Begley Jr). Driving a Prius to a Hollywood awards show is meaningless if you flew your private jet to get there, your daily driver is a gas guzzling luxury sports car or SUV, your home is a huge mansion with heated swimming pool, or you own multiple mansion homes and have the utilities running all the time at all homes regardless if you're there or not. "Look, I decorated my home in bamboo because it's more environmentally friendly,...just don't look at my Olympic size outdoor heated swimming pool and hot tub built for 20."

I dunno who the stupid fool is. Gas is only (only???) $3.44/gal here. Maybe you should move to a better place.

I do my part everyday, not just on April 22nd. I recycle from cans to paper. I do my laundry after 6pm so i can save energy. I have a line dry on the balcony of my house so i dont have to use the dryer all the time.

Do you have anything in your house made of plastic?

Is your cell phone made of plastic?

Maybe your computer printer?

Anything else?

Look around you - is your TV made of plastic?

Most of the interior of your car?

All made with petrochemicals.

If you don't like oil - get rid of everything you own.

Yes, I'd like to see humans go extinct. The planet does not need humans....
I always knew Progressives were at heart self loathing. Wishing for the extinction of your own species is a serious mental disorder.
