I don't know if I would ever try something like that in California though (smoking pot in public). The cops there aren't very nice at all. Even in supposedly liberal San Francisco.
I guess you missed the photo of our (San Francisco's) "Hippie Hill" smoke-out, which occurs every 4/20. I lived in San Francisco for years, and was never bothered by the cops when I smoked in public... they know everyone & their grandmother has a medical ID here, so it's not worth their time to bother anyone.

LOL. You are showing how clueless you are again. Look up "Hash Bash" in Ann Arbor, MI. Been going on since 1972. There are plenty of other pot festivals around the Country as well.

Stoners gather at Yonge-Dundas Square for 4/20
April 20, 2012

Hundreds gathered at Yonge-Dundas square to partake in the yearly celebration that is 4/20. A cloud of thick smoke rose over the square at 4:20 p.m. as everyone (yup, even the wee teenagers) lit their joints and bongs...

Warning: images may not not be suitable for uptight Americans

Well, this uptight American is SHOCKED! Shocked, I tell you!! I don't know if I can go back to trimming my rosebushes, I am so flustered. Am I even the same man I was before I witnessed this spectacle of immorality?

Thank God(tm) I live in the USA which is devoid of cannabis.

Lol, you're not old enough to have gone to any given rock concert back in the 70s, are you?

I'm not old enough for that, but I did attend 11 Grateful Dead shows in the '90s... and not only was smoking pot (and doing a variety of other drugs) tolerated, it was practically a requirement for entrance. I think they had a 5 joint minimum, LOL.
