Police officers are public servants, and work in the public trust, so it's particularly egregious when they misuse deadly force. That's a different issue from citizens firing on other citizens. That's a gun control issue, in part.

Why is that? Why do "Thugs" have to be black. The majority of crimes commited in the United States are shockingly, commited by ...Whites.
We should fear White people the most of all, if we care about statistics.
Whites are responsible for the vast majority of violent crimes. With respect to aggravated assault, whites led blacks 2-1 in arrests; in forcible-rape cases, whites led all racial and ethnic groups by more than 2-1. And in larceny theft, whites led blacks, again, more than 2-1.

White on white crime and black on black crime are caused by the same thing. We tend to hang out with our own race. Many crimes are committed where the victim knows the attacker a high percentage of the time.
I want to meet the person who confesses when caught and says the reason I commit crime is my skin color.

None of this matters if African Americans continue to die at the hands of guns held by security guards and police officers all without justice.
You are absolutely right. Nothing matters as long as we attempt to resolve our problems by pointing weapons, or applying threats, or force of any kind. We White people need to understand that Americans come in ALL colors, not just White. We also need to understand that we OWE so much of what we hold dear in our American values to the hard work and suffering of our non-White citizens, and aliens.
I commend you for speaking the obvious. It took courage and you will no doubt be jeered, but you are correct. We do need to get off thinking we stand on higher ground and learn to be thankful and respectful.
Continue to speak your truth in a non-emotional delivery, and you will succeed in your attempts to make a difference.
