I think African Americans need to connect with some Africans to learn how proper parenting looks like. I this was lost during slavery.

Are you serious?

In 2012 black parents can't raise their kids right because slavery existed in the Nineteenth Century?

How about people with this problem take that all important first step and stop blaming white people for their own failings.

Slavery did a number on African Americans they internalized the dehumanization inflicted on them and have passed it down through the generations.

It's going to take an acknowledgement that there is a serious problem and steps to address it. Thus far African Americans are in large scale denial hopefully that'll change soon.

Also I'm not necessarily blaming white people just stating an observation. The cultural differences between West Africans and African Americans are so vast for example that I can only point to slavery as the reason why.

Having experience with both African-Americans and West Africans, and being a student of history, I have to disagree on this point.

Up until the War on Poverty began in the late 60's (Great Society Social Programs), 9 out of 10 Black families were intact. Black business thrived in many cities throughout the nation. All of this in spite of slavery. Now, what happened was, welfare/food stamps absolutely decimated the Black family (White families have been affected as well, just not to the insane degree Blacks have). When the government can take care of your kids, you don't need a man around.

In terms of morality, segregation was wrong. In terms of the state of Black America, they were doing better during segregation. Instead of Asians and Indians owning stores in their communities, they owned the stores. It had to be that way. If they didn't open stores, restaurants, etc. they were sh** out of luck.

Circa 1968, White liberals decided to open the door to socialism, which has eroded the familial structure among Blacks and Whites alike. Divorce rates went through the roof. Before this point, REAL MEN raised their kids and put food on the table. After this point, if a man didn't want to be a man, the government would step in and put food on your plate and make sure you had a car, rims, and jordans.

In the 60's and 70's, Black music was positive and upbeat. Fast forward to 2012, it promotes violence, hedonism, and promiscuity. "My Girl" morphed into "I want to f*** every girl in the world".

If I was Black, I would boycott the media. Jam out to Duke Ellington instead of 2Pac. Check out some Louis Armstrong instead of Slimm Thug. Vibe to some good old Motown instead of Busta Rhymes. Place an emphasis on family and education. That goes for all Americans.

What it has to do with this act of violence is that far too many blacks and their liberal friends excuse any act of violence by a black person as long as whites are the victims.

A majority of Americans are fierce adherents to the powers granted to the people via the 2nd Amendment.

God bless the Founding Fathers!

Good post. Liberal government programs have totally ruined the black community while at the same time convincing them that the Dems are helping. This is one of the best jobs of deceit ever propagated on a group of people.
