Wondering if there is a pattern. Tried to keep the wording as neutral as I can.

Horrible decision, only brings in more lobbyists. The bad thing is america has no say since it was a court decision.

It opens the door to unlimited hidden corporate cash that buy candidates. As FDR said:

“Government by Organized Money is Just as Dangerous as Government by Organized Mob”

also:
"The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it comes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group."

and:

"We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace - business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering.

They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.

Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me - and I welcome their hatred."

Funny how history repeats itself.

It will be very interesting to see the affect of Superpacs on the Nov election. Im guessing both sides are going to make 2008 look squeaky clean.

I cannot participate in the poll, I'm not a Liberal or a Conservative. I didn't know all of us had to be one or the other. Oh well.

I think its funny that people think that the decision tilted the playing field because lets be honest, it leveled the playing field... the liberals had their propaganda machine with ACORN and MANY similar organizations, unions, government employees, and affiliated corporations taking government handout to push the recipients of these handouts to vote... knowing full well how these recipients would vote... so the courts leveled the playing field saying if these entities can do that, why would any entity be restricted... and so it leveled the playing field.. I won't shed a tear...

Good decision. Free speech is free speech.

And it hasn't changed anything to do with big money in politics. Big money has always been there.

>I cannot participate in the poll, I'm not a Liberal or a Conservative.<

This was just to see if there was a pattern. That is why there are two semi centrist positions one light liberal and one light conservative.

Has anybody seen a scorecard that adds up numbers of groups and totals their membership, and then adds in money donated? Somehow, I think the Chamber of Commerce has more people and money to spend than whatever Acorn is now. I sure would like to know who is on what team and how much money they are throwing in.

It does not really matter. Looks to me like rich white men still call the shots for everybody else. Democracy is an illusion.
