That's not really the issue. I think this thread is a good example of the lack of education in the United States. People think that a coupon expiring is considered a hike in the price.

You have to be more specific. Bush and the whitehouse did a lot in the 8 years they were in power.

There were a bunch of taxes made under Bush. They were set to expire during what I think is the first year of Obama's first term, but my memory may be false. Anyways, Republicans made a huge deal about it, and eventually taxes only expired for those earning a figure around 200k or more.

But anyways; sorry republicans I don't have an extra 5k in cash laying around maybe I should drop out and work at Wal-Mart! GOP you suck!
You are right. based by the maturity you have just revealed, you will ONLY be able to get a job at Wal-Mart.

You , and your ilk, will be the ruin of this country. Me. me, me, is all you care about.

IF furthering your eduction, it is obvious you need a lot more education, is so important to you, please explain why you CAN'T get a job and pay for it yourself. After all you DO have a college degree.

Hundreds of THOUSANDS of people have WORKED, heaven forbid you have to actually have to do some work, their way through college.

If you are too lazy to work for it, don't expect the rest of us to work in order to provide for you.

"Republicans have been grousing over the $6-billion cost to keep the loans at the 3.4% rate for another year. The legislation was first approved in 2007 and is set to expire July 1, which would result in a doubling of interest rates to 6.8% for about 7 million students."GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney this week threw his support behind keeping interest rates low, and Republicans appear to be reluctant to pick a fight in an election year over an issue that resonates with middle-class households.

“I don't think anybody believes this interest rate ought to be allowed to rise. The question is, how do you pay for it?” said Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the GOP leader. “How long do you do the extension?”

Charging the poor student an interest rate on free money, just printed up by the Fed.

Yes, as the government socializes the economy, they are the makers of the revenue to decide how to spend it or keep it for themselves. If it is redistributed, it is the buddy system in full force.
