Didn't know Clinton or Obama were breast-beating pro-war "patriots" like the Republican chickenhawks.

Did you see Michael Moore's movie "Fahrenheit 911?" While the movie was obviously slanted and of little use because of it, one the best scenes had Moore stationed outside of Congress waiting for Republican members whom he knew had voted for the war in Iraq and had military aged children.

Moore would greet them by name, and they'd usually respond to him in a friendly manner as well. But, then he'd pull out recruiting literature and ask if they'd give it to their military aged children. Suddenly, it was a totally different conversation and most of the members would storm angrily away.

It was a great way to illustrate chickenhawkism. The war was fine for other people's kids, but not theirs.
It's a great way to take the idiocy to a whole new level. Now a politician gets blamed or credited for whether their kid served in the military????? It is the kid's decision whether to serve, not the parents. In some cases the parent may have input, but it's dumb to assume that the parent has any input in any particular case. Anyway, have we not learned to keep politco's families out of politics. Are you seriously going to discredit Pres. Obama if Sasha and Malia don't wind up going into the military?

Yep, a whole new level.

He's a Reservist now, but he did a tour in the infantry in Iraq in 2009-10.

Where do you get that rule? In any campaign there are all kinds of voices with all kinds of interests. Some are under control of the candidate, and some are not. Unless you believe that the candidate (in this case W Bush) had some magical powers to control all voices. Is that what you believe? If so I'm done debating--I make it a practice not to debate the insane..

Again, you make that kind of dispicable accusation with zero proof? It's little different than the people who run around saying that Obama is a secret Muslim.

The Republicans/conservatives beat the war drums louder than anyone else.

When the few anti-war demonstrations occurred the conservatives labeled the demonstrators as traitors and anti-american. "Support The Troops" meant support the war instead.
Now come the denials; "who us conservatives, for the war? No way!"

She is not a Governor, she is now an Entertainer, if you recall she quit the job she said she would perform to the end of her term, so she does not deserve the title Governor. Just so ya know.
