What, you don't think a black man can say something intelligent? And what the heck is a "stupid high top fade"? Must be some new progressive term.

Progressives would least of Allen West's concerns to get on the Republican ticket. Heck even you said you cannot support him, but it is blasphemy of the progressives if they don't? Talk about being a hypocrite. If even you can't handle that nutcase, don't expect progressives to support him just because he is black. If anything, this presents your mindset.

I actually think Obama is a nice guy, reasonably bright and I really don't care about his skin color. However, I don't think he succeeds as any kind of leader or uniter, he surrounds himself with incompetant people (Holder, Napalatano, Morton and Bieden come to mind). And his spending has been a disaster for this country. Not that BII was a whole lot better.
Clearly, the problem is not Obama but the perception of his that people keep parroting without thinking twice about it. It comes naturally to some, as an obligation to others and as a necessity to the rest.

Yes, America was "ready" for a black president. We elected one, didn't we? Unfortunately, he turned out to not be the right one.

Nothing wrong with Obama being black, it is his radical socialist big government , green agenda and lack of ability to run the country with a big deficit and his big spending ideas such as algae to run a car.

Wind and solar isn't going to run America.. oil is the energy of today and Obama being black has no effect on his crazy ideas.

Too bad it had to be a crazy guy in the white house who happens to be black.

Martin Luther King was right.. judge them by their character and Obama and his character is telling America one thing and passing legislation to end jobs.

Do you actually know any liberals? I have no idea what Obama's personal ideology is, but his policies are certainly not liberal...he is center left. Examples of Liberals are Kucinich and Bernie Sanders.

Allen West of "I've heard 80 members of the House are communists" fame--the one who insists that they're communists because they're DEMOCRATS? The only people who would support a radical extremist nut job like that are other crazies. You people need to stop calling yourselves republicans--hopefully most of you will be voted out this year and we can go back to a little sanity in conservative politics.

Great--then tell your friends in extremist land to stop ranting about birthers, how Obama is only half black, affirmative action, Kenya, etc. etc. and maybe someone will actually BELIEVE what you're saying. The part some of you don't get is that the racist stuff really turns off and upsets other conservatives who are more moderate--not just liberals. you all hurt your cause more than you help it because no decent person wants to be affiliated with that type of garbage and hate.
