It has been troubling for me to watch Sen. Marco Rubio vote away our liberties with his ballot for NDAA. In addition to rumored vetting by Bilderbergers in Bogota Columbia in recent weeks, now it would seem Rubio is joining the ranks of the expansionist/interventionist war mongers as well.

Marco Rubio: The newest neocon

the "Tea Party" has equalled Neo-con for at least 2 and a half years now. When its leaders are people like Rubio, Bachmann, and Allen West, it's pretty easy to tell.

Did you read the linked piece? Rubio is backing more foreign aid to spread the US agenda and more wars. Please tell me what is fiscally responsible with this approach?

He's also soft on immigration.

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has thrust himself into the raging illegal immigration debate, proposing a plan that would create a path to legal status for children of illegal immigrants — putting him at odds with an immoveable wing of the Republican Party on this issue.
Are you sure THIS IS THE GUY that's the future of the Republican Party?

Rubio sounds like he is running for sheriff of the world.
America has had its fill of that nonsense.

Yeah, I know. I've very disappointed in him. However, given his stances, I'd think that the Progressives would be embracing him. Afterall, he's echoing Obama's current policies and Bush's before.

Is there a single thread of pro-democracy, pro freedom movement at serious levels in the Republican Party?

Ron Paul is irrelevant even though I respect him. I'd say there isn't. The current Republican platform is tyranny; send our boys to die for Israel, corporate tax breaks, pro big oil, anti personal liberty/privacy.
