Apparently Hollywood types are idiots until they agree with you, then they're heroes.

BTW, unless Voight is a combat veteran, or pulled someone out of a fire recently, he's not a hero, just another blowhard.

...just saying.

Policemen are heroes

Soldiers, sailors and air force personnel that are willing to put themselves in harms way for their country and comrades in arms are heroes.

Doctors that go to impoverished countries to render health care are heroes.

People who render aid to the homeless are heroes.

Teachers are heroes.

People who help special needs children and adults are heroes.

People who help animals that have been the victims of cruelty are heroes.

A single mother that is trying to teach her kids to be good upstanding human beings while struggling to pay her bills is a hero.

A recently unemployed dad that takes a low wage job to put food on his family's table is a hero.

People who do volunteer work in their communities are heroes.

I thought you might need a little help in knowing what a hero is because your OP indicated you definitely need it.
Best post so far this year! Thanks.

I'd like to add people who do hospice work, and most of the Catholic nuns I've met.
