Exactly, the democrats have budgets that put those funds in PUBLIC hands like police, fire fighters, teachers, construction workers,..etc you know, things that beautify the nation, keep us safe, and benefit the public.
The GOP wants to take those funds and put them in PRIVATE hands like big oil, weapons contractors, big pharma, and other large corporations that only benefit lining the pockets of these greedy individuals stealing from the taxpayer.
Read the Constitution.
Localities are responsible for their own schools, police and fire departments.
Nothing more represents the deep divide between liberals and conservatives.
What are the differences I’m talking about?
Liberals considers the modern welfare state -- a private-enterprise economy, but one in which society’s winners are taxed to pay for a social safety net -- morally superior to the cut-throat capitalism we had before the New Deal, where the poor were allowed to die of starvation. It’s only right, this side believes, for the affluent to help the less fortunate.
Conservatives believe that people have a right to keep what they earn, and that taxing them to support others, no matter how needy, amounts to theft. Many activists on the right really do see taxes and regulation as tyrannical impositions on their liberty.
This is a recent development. As many analysts have noted, the Obama health reform, whose passage was met with vandalism and death threats against members of Congress, was modeled on Republican plans from the 1990s.
Conservatives value the Constitution ONLY when it serves their interest. Progressives see the Constitution as a nuisance ONLY if it does not serve their interest.

Do you see how the two are the same?
Not quite.
Constitutional conservatives value the Constitution and fight to stop Progressives from destroying it. Unfortunately Progressives in Congress outnumber Constituional Conservatives. Progressives exist on both sides of the aisle, DNC and GOP alike.
When it comes to spending, the President and every member in Congress who has voted to raise the debt ceiling is unworthy of our trust when it comes to spending and our debt crisis.
You don't seem to understand what "Obamacare" entails do you?
Although, while you're at it, ask our seniors how Medicare is working for them. When was the last time you saw them marching in the street protesting that program?

Well call me a cynic, but the capital city has shown me that a conservative can be just as much a sh*thead as a liberal. And I'll throw my beloved moderates in there to cover all bases.
Oh? You mean like when conservatives didn't like the decision that the Florida courts decided in the Terry Schiavo case and passed a specific federal law yanking jurisdiction from Florida and handing it to the federal government?
Or maybe your meant when in the 1990s, when the conservatives proposed an individual mandate as an alternative to Hillary Clinton's plan -- that they now claim isn't constitutional?
Or maybe you are referring to conservatives who want to deny children of illegal immigrants citizenship, even though the Constitution clearly makes them citizens.
Bottom line: Conservatives have no moral high ground to stand on defending the constitution. It comes down to the issues. When the constitution is on the side of their view, they are for it. When the constitution is against their side, they ignore it. They're just hypocrites.
