Does this apply only to guns? Suppose any intruder comes inside. I throw a boiling pot of water, or cast iron frying pan at him. That more than likey will not KILL him, but might be enough to severly injury him off or scare him away. What happens then? Didn't kill him. What is a deadly "weapon"? Could I be charged for something like that too? If somebody is threatening you you must KILL them somehow? Otherwise you will be charged in Florida?
I live in a gun household, but I am against guns. I will find my own means or defense thank you, or RUN if I can. No, no, not in the Gunshine Sate. Shoot to kill!!!!
Boiling water is ok, because it shows you made an honest effort to kill him.
Didnt we already cover this incident. I remember the Zimmerman CD Death Squad was constantly posting about it as an example of racial hypocrisy in Florida.
It was already hashed out that she screwed up. If you read the actual facts of the case she is guilty as charged. Now the sentence is another story.
She will not be missed. The 60 year sentence is the fair one. What would she do after 20 years behind bars? If Florida deems it fair to put her down for what she did, then they should feed, house and clothe her for the rest of her physical life. She doesn't have any other kind of life anymore.
Probably not, because she entered his house and stared shooting. How is that self defense?
It's not. Had she of killed him, it would have been second-degree murder at the very least. She left an allegedly violent scene, armed herself, returned and started shooting. How anyone can argue this as a case of self-defense is beyond my comprehension.

She discharged a firearm in the commission of a felony. Under Florida's 10-20-LIFE legislation, that means a long stint behind bars.
It's common knowledge that you shoot to kill not to warn. If she really felt threatened, then she should have killed him. She screwed up.
no, you never shoot to kill, you shoot to stop the threat, even if that means 17 rounds into the perps chest and head.
