The one in the movie was made by the same company who made the one on the Titanic, and still had all the plans. Anyone who's seen the movie knows what it looks like and if it doesn't will be able to tell.
What I'd like to know is why not have third class cabins with basic function and charge accordingly? I'll bet they would get customers. I don't see enforcing a ban against classes which don't exist so much anymore mixing working.
It would be cool if they'd have a 'dress up' night where everyone was in 1910's style dress, according to cabin class. Or would they do like the SCA and skip the pesants?
The best thing would be to have tours for the 3rd class section and maybe even actors like at Plymouth plantation, Sturbridge villiage etc.,I doubt the conditions in 3rd class could even be legally replicated,I don;t think they had showers

There was a wonderful special on the Titanic hosted by Dancing with the Star's Len Goodman, who when a young not yet dancer worked for the shipyards which made Titanic. It was on pbs and should be somewhere on their site. But they showed the third class cabins. They had bunk beds and a table, and were servicable if not luxurious. But they were equivilant to second class on any other ship, which is why so many had booked them.
I doubt they had showers generally then over baths, since showers were not the more common way of bathing.
It would be interesting to have actors, but even moreso to fit passangers in turn of the century dress and hair and such. And do a dinner with the expected manners of the day. Really slip back in time...
I've seen pictures of the normal crews's quarters on cruise ships, and knew someone who worked for one a few trips. They don't get much more than the third class passangers on the Titanic did, but they are certainly legal.
Seriously, if for an affordable fee for someone 'poor' if you could take a cruise 'third class' with the social area and entertainment and free food that was provided, plus general run of the deck, wouldn't you think it would be a cool vacation? They could even tailor it as the immigrant experience, with the sort of music that would have come with them.
"Palmer said 40,000 people have expressed interest in tickets for the maiden voyage, taking the original course from Southampton, England, to New York. He said people are inspired by his quest to replicate one of the most famous vessels in history."
Will it still be the "maiden voyage" if it's built in China? Unless it's somehow shipped itself to England it sounds like the crew and whoever else accompanies them will be the ones taking it out for the maiden voyage. Are ships no longer built in Northern Island, or can this guy just not afford to do it that way?
I'm no fan of pleasure cruises that go around in circles like the Carnival line and those that are stuffed full of people and seem to break down at sea, but the idea of using a ship to actually travel from point A to point B is somewhat interesting.
Considering the safety record of cruise lines, it would be a cold day in hell before I would get on any cruise ship much less one named the freaking Titanic.

+1 here. Used to be very interested in taking my first ship cruise. Not anymore.
Will it have WiFi to use my laptop and watch Titanic on Netflix on Titatanic II or go online and USB plug in to plug in my I-phone plus it will not look exactly like the original titanic due to it having to meet all maritime safety and be built to modern maritime standards where the Original would not pass and thus would not be able to use cruise ship porets to dick since it would not get cleared to be a operation passenger cruise liner with out changing a lot of things on the ship.
I'm waiting for the Hindenburg II for my world cruise.
