The slimy underbelly of socialism is that while it denounces the "greed" of capitalism and espouses "fairness", it is fueled by envy of those who have done well in life.
The only reason history considers Churchill to be a Great Leader and Hero of the Western (Tory) World is he literally wrote the book. The man was an indulged drunk and his politics were aristocratic and imperial. The first was foolish and the latter dispicable.
Where are you getting this from, I mean besides your own imagination.
Four posts equals four self deluded fools. Crony Capitalism only works for the Capitalist Cronies. the rest of us work to create the wealth they steal.
FWID Churchill was a drunk Tory fool.
Yes, we get it. Crony Capitalism is not REAL capitalism. That doesn't mean socialism is the antidote to it. Far from it. Both are really more like two sides of the same coin. Both involve people wanting to be insulated from having to work to create real wealth.
It is all VAT tax. They have no minimum wage and they have no income based tax. The more luxury the item, the more tax is placed on it.
People move from job to job frequently and are able to collect 4 years of unemployment(that barely will feed you, so you will go work)
They live in family units, with many generations in small homes. There is not much independence and freedom. Everything has a rule or regulation, including eating, drinking, sleeping, crapping and pissing.
They practice the Austrian form of economics, not Keynesian running debts.
They are not penalized for working. They pay the price for luxury.
None for me, thanks. I need 1900sf, plus 2-car garage and pool.
Here's a newsflash for you: no ideology works in its purest form. This includes conservative and right-wing ideology. This is why we have things like mixed economies.
That is true, but socialism has been a larger and larger part of the mix. What was the tax take as a percentage of GDP a century ago? A fraction of what it is today.
The more time passes, the more power and control is centralized in fewer and fewer hands, in both government and business.
It's funny how conservatives and liberals notice "the other party" doing this but never their own. When are we going to wake up and realize centralization of power is happening on BOTH sides of the political aisle?

Because people of both parties look at them with rose colored glasses. People just blindly follow too much.
