"Texas has held on to its position as the best state in which to do business for the eighth consecutive year, with California remaining anchored at the bottom of the chart, according to a new survey by Chief Executive magazine...Chief Executive praised Texas Gov. Rick Perry, saying that between June 2009 and July 2011, the number of jobs in the state increased by 328,000, 47 percent of the total job creation in the country."

Florida is nipping at the heels of Texas followed by North Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana. Louisiana moved up 14 points and gets the Most Improved honors.

What does the magazine say is among the most attractive assets a state can have?

Right to work legislation. Guess which state cracked the Top 20 this year for the first time?

Wisconsin. Yup, Wisconsin. The state the Democrat politicians ran away from. Didn't they run to Illinois?

At the bottom of the heap:

California
New York
Illinois
Massachusetts
Michigan

Migration into the top states is following the job creation pattern.

Also worth nothing is that three of the top four states have no state income tax.

Yea, good for business, but horrible places to live with the exception of Indiana.

My own state aint that great for business supposedly, despite being a RTW state. But other things make up for that.

Funny, a lot of people seem to love it here in Texas, as is true in Florida, Indiana, North Carolina and other right to work states.. I guess your "opinion" of these places is supposed to be the final word though..

That's so true. To prove it, who wants to move to Oklahoma? Raise their hand. However, some people have wanted to move to Oklahoma, because they can't believe how backward laws and attitudes are there and have to see it to believe it. That's what the author of Bubbaworld had to do. However, since the current century began, a number of laws and attitudes are being cast aside.

The source is an ultra-right wing propaganda site and has no credibility. Wisconsin is dead last in the nation for job creation. They have been losing jobs month after month from Walker's ultra right wing agenda.
