So if you want to be a terrorist and be free from the pesky US bugging you just head on over to Pakistan. The very raid that this man is running around bragging about is now banned. I hope another bin laden isn't waiting in the wings somewhere but I won't hold my breath and if there is he can just snub his nose at the US now.

Also no more drones in Afghan. They need em all back here to keep an eye on US citizens who the DHS thinks are more of a terrorist threat nowdays than AQ.

"President Barack Obama has promised not to attack Pakistan-based al-Qaida leaders or fighters from bases inside Afghanistan.
The surprising commitment effectively bars Obama and his successors from launching another nighttime helicopter raid like the one that that killed Osama bin Laden. That raid has proven to be Obama’s primary foreign-policy success because it killed bin Laden, scooped up much intelligence data and shocked Pakistan.
Obama’s commitment will also end the use of secretive drone-attacks from Afghanistan. Those attacks have killed hundreds of al-Qaida leaders since the mid-2000s. They’ve also been very popular with U.S voters, and usually have had tacit Pakistan approval."

Hey, whatever it takes to not win; telegraphing to the enemy, the limits to what we will, and will not do, and giving a time table for when we pull out, are sure winners.... errrr.... losers.

And we are seeking negotiations with the Taliban to see if they will agree to give up their religious beliefs in order to sign a peace treaty.

Then we need to get our money back from Pakistan. If those in power won't stay bought, what is the use in giving them more money?

What? Are y'all completely dense?

Even assuming that agreement is as reported (I didn't see a link to the actual text for verification), the whole "case" of this article is based upon this:

“The United States further pledges not to use Afghan territory or facilities as a launching point for attacks against other countries,” says the provision, found in paragraph 6b of the eight-page deal.

"Afghan territory or facilities." Let me say it again..."Afghan territory or facilities." This doesn't end the use of drones in Pakistan or even Afghanistan. It simply means they can't be launched from Afghanistan.

So what? Those things have tremendous range and a lot them are even right now being launched from other places for use over Afghanistan and Pakistan. They can, and are, being launched from ships, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Kuwait and a dozen other places. Bagram AFB isn't the only possible place to launch these things, you know?

The premise of this whole thread is BS. They WILL still be used in Afghanistan and Pakistan. And, a lot of other places too.

AND...raids into Pakistan or wherever will STILL be done. They just won't be done from Afghanistan.

I see how it works. OBAMA can go kill some chump to enhance his career..but he will not kill some chump to protect AMERICA...humm? Kind of sounds like the guy is just out for himself. Who would have know that personal ambition trumps the welfare of America...typical.

IMHO we should use our weaponry to neutralize the Paki nuclear weapons and let the Hindus next door do the rest.
