I see the same as Democrats did when Bush flew to the carrier to say mission accomplished. That si somethign that any makig ob=ne claim has to consier when making the same type claim. What goes around comes around;as they say. besides which it i this case dangerous poltically since it was a long misson thru several administrations startig with Clinto after he flbu it in Sudan situation when offered.thatsi the way it is in politcs tho.

I guess a big issue is the hypocrisy of Obama supporters. They were so against predator drones, targeted assassination, Gitmo, indefinite detention, etc. Now they are okay with those things. For them to herald the killing of Osama comes across as insincere and cynical. Its hard to believe that they are really happy Osama is dead; its more likely they only care about how it makes Obama look.

I don't think they're trying to turn it into a negative as much as they're annoyed that Obama is attempting to take credit for something the CIA and Navy SEALS did. All he did was authorise it, something which any president would have been capable of doing. The people who actually found him (CIA) and killed him (SEALS) are almost being forgotten due to the issue being politicised.

Spin it anyway you like ,the President ordered the hit and our main enemy got taken down successfully, a proud day for all involved including the American way of getting things done.As for politicizing it? wouldnt the right just love it if the President never mentioned it again and we focused on what the right brings to the table, dogs on cars, elevators for cars, the benefits of Swiss bank accounts.

They're desperate. They have no policy proposals. All they have is hate for Obama and snarky promises to undo all he's done. They'll make this the ugliest, dirtiest campaign in US history, more than likely.

And they'll lose.

But during the Bush years the streets were filled with anti-war protestors; protesting Bush's use of predator drones, indefinite detention, targeted assassination, Gitmo, etc. How can they be so supportive of Obama now when he is doing the same things the hated Bush was?

Again, if they were insincere about their anti-war sentiments, how can we believe that they are sincere about being happy that Osama was killed, instead of happy about how it makes Obama look.

Bush started two wars. And then stupidly mismanaged both, allowing them to slide into unwinnable quagmires lasting years longer than they should have. A record very worthy of scorn.

If you're trying to equate Obama with Bush, all you have to do is list the wars Obama has started.

Go.

Not an accurate description at all. What we right wingers oppose is obama's using the killing of bin laden in a campaign ad desparaging Romney...asking what would Romney have done in the same situation.

Politicizing such a landmark in the war on terror is beneath contempt. Even some democrats feel he should not have done it.

Not only that, but obama wants to claim that it was HE who got bin laden, when the truth of the matter is that he was the beneficiary of a mission and an organization that was put into place by the Bush administration...not to mention that it was the Navy Seals who carried out the mission.

A simple recognition of the Seals, and the entire US armed forces would hve been a classy move....but obama and his team felt that ANY scrap of success that he could talk about concerning his presidency needs to be brought up...no matter how tacky and classless it is.

Libya

And secondly, BUSH did not 'manage' those wars....the defense department did.
