Bush started two wars. And then stupidly mismanaged both, allowing them to slide into unwinnable quagmires lasting years longer than they should have. A record very worthy of scorn.

If you're trying to equate Obama with Bush, all you have to do is list the wars Obama has started.
Sorry. The Iraq war was authorized by Congress. And, I wasn't talking about "starting wars"; I was talking about specific issues that outraged progressives just a few years ago.

Predator drones. Targeted assassinations. Indefinite detention. Gitmo.

Obama has not ended these things, but has instead continued them. However, the outrage that Bush received from progressives is by and large absent now. Its like the antiwar protests never happened.

When you don't get your facts straight rigt off the bat, I wonder if you have an agenda.

OBL was NOT captured as you claim. He was shot.

I would call being shot a bit different then being captured.

Why didn't we capture him like we did with Saddam?

A lot of intel could have been gotten from him, just as with Saddam.

Why the rush to kill him?

I find it odd that this has not been discussed much.

Everyone is happy bin laden is dead.

Seal Team 6 should be given 110% of the credit.

All Bammy did was sit in a room and watch it on closed circuit.

How hard is that to figure out? Very, I guess.

Ya know, if he had relentlessly thanked our military as relentlessly as he proclaimed I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, the entire country would be behind him. Damn, he is one very stupid CIC to not realize that.
This deserves a repeat!!!!

Some will never figure it out... They are tainted by the Obama Trance!!!!!

I dont mind that OBL is dead, actually i celebrated when he did get wacked. I also think it was the military and more specifically the seals that did it. it is something that I dont think obama should take credit for. he was not out there sticking his neck out for, but with the way he talks, one would think he was.

Firstly it was not a capture..it was a killing- secondly the way it was done was so god damned right wing in the classical sense. I don't understand how you could consider assassination of anyone a left wing victory...unless you are some commie revolutionary that killing to get power is the way you go.

Obama is not a hero...He is a liar. Anyone with any common sense would understand that American Intelligence working abroad spend billions on gathering information- It is impossible that Obama did not know where Bin Laden was...and then suddenly he knew?

It was a highly manipulative act---even the prior administration always knew where he was but did nothing...Obama and his crew finally gave the order- probably after a long meeting and brain storming on what would be a good propaganda move to ensure a boost in the approval polls.

I could see it now..."Well we have kept Bin Laden in storage for a long time...maybe we should send a team to have him killed...what the heck..he's been so inactive these days that he is of little use to us unless he starts to mouth threats...and he is not doing his job- I say take him out..may as well gain something"- Hillary probably perked up and agreed seeing she like smacking and wacking men.

I don't mind Obama tooting his own horn about the killing of bin Laden and had he left it at that, I would have nothing to say. It's the utterly fallacious speculation that Mitt Romney would not have done the same thing, had he been the CIC, that I find petty.

Actually using a military action in as political ad to call into question your opponents willingness to make hard decisions makes this an UGLY camapign already.

The truth is that there isn't a lot to talk about on the obama side. He can't talk economy because the economy has been in the tank for the longest time since the great depression. He can't talk unemployment because the UE rate has been the highest for the longest time in this nation's HISTORY under obama. He can't discuss all of the promises he made concerning transparency in government...people being able to watch every thing his administration does on C-SPAN, because his administration has been closed off completely. He can't discuss illegal immigration because he has done NOTHING, and has blocked all State level attempts to enact legislation that will do what the federal LAWS are supposed to do but DON'T. He can't discuss healthcare because he KNOWS that the cost to the American citizen will be ASTRONOMICAL, plus the fact that there is a serious question as to the constitutionality of FORCING the public to buy into a government program.

So.....there isn't a lot left. Getting bin laden is the only thing this fool has to hang his hat on. And him using that victorious military achievment in the way he did did nothing more than make him look like the petty politician he is.

Yeah, that was a pretty crappy thing for him to say.

It is using terrorism to further your own career. Why not do something that is real like find ways to ensure that America gets free of those criminals that they buy oil from...like the Saudis who put up the money for 9 11...? this is how it looks to me.

YOU ARE IN GRAVE DANGER- BIN LADEN IS COMING TO GET YOU..I am a little tiny black guy with big ears who does the bidding of a bunch of fat white guys who hide in the back room- and I - have just slayed a dragon and saved AMERICA- I firmly believe that you should re-elect me on that single heroic act...if you don't the fat white cats in the back room are going to be very disappointed...........

Those fat white cats in the back room need Obama to continue because they need another four years to make sure that they have very comfortable and luxurious retirements- You would think that they were rich enough?

He wasn't captured, although that certainly was an obtainable goal had they been ordered to do so. That actually would have been far more of a coup although it would have opened up a pretty messy can of worms. But one that needed opening.
I haven't heard anything negative about it, other than Obama taking credit for something he had very little to do with. Okaying the operation once everything was place and listening to the recommendations of those around you was basically a no brainer.
