N.C. approves constitutional amendment banning gay marriage
North Carolina didn't just ban gay marriage. They even banned civil unions. This should have been called the Hate Law. Next they will try to legalize assaulting gays because states like North Carolina think it's fine to legislate hate.
OP, if you are gay and you vote for a Republican anything, you should rethink that. They seriously hate you and they just got their state to prove it in the form of a 60/40 vote.
Hopefully, IT and other progressive companies considering North Carolina will take what has just happened into consideration when they are deciding where to locate their company and choose another state.
Maybe they're the victims more often because, oh I don't know, there are more people who hate gays than straights?? Just look around these forums some time, and tally up the negative comments towards one group vs the other. And use your eyes.
If you used your own eyes, you would see that on this forum anyone who does not agree with the gay agenda is labeled a 'hater'.
Look at the reaction here about the NC vote. They say "they seriously hate gays" just because the vote didn't go their way. That is exactly what I am talking about. If people do not comply to their demands, then they accuse you of hatred, and that is BS. They routinely come over to the Christianity forum to accuse Christians of hatred and judgmentalism. Yes, if they left other people alone, then maybe they would be left alone too. If yo go around picking fights, then you usually get what you looked for.

I'm not gay but I have two gay work associates (who knows, maybe more). These are good and very smart people that don't deserve the evil thrown their way. This law reaches out to not only say "you cannot marry", it says "you cannot have any legal arrangement whatsoever". That is HATE. That is attacking them for no reason. You can't excuse it, there is no excuse. You can blame religion but the Taliban thought what they were doing was based on religion too.

Yes it does. So does making a law that says gays not only cannot marry, they cannot have any sort of legal arrangement whatsoever. That is extremely anti-gay and it is hostile and antagonistic to a minority of American citizens that work, pay taxes and did nothing to you.
