Wish the Dems were doing more for gay rights, but they're certainly better than the Republicans, and there aren't any viable Libertarian candidates for me to support right now.
Gary Johnson says you can smoke dope and have a polygamous gay lifestyle if you vote for him...

I would argue that it's a small percentage of the bloc. Gays might be 5% of the population.

I agree about single issue voters. Abortion is another key issue. If the republicans caved on abortion and took the path of financial conservatism we would never elect another Democrat.

I absolutely agree with this.

While there is still bigotry which has to be overcome, I think the polls regarding marriage equality show that the tide is turning.

Way more people now are saying they no longer oppose same sex marriage than ever before.

Of course, if Romney were to win (*shudder*), then we could very likely go backwards and lose what ground we've gained because he's made it obvious he doesn't have the balls to stand up to the religious right when it comes to the LGBT community (or probably anything else).

Not to mention, support for gay marriage has soared since Prop8 passed. FYI, many people polled have stated they regret voting for the Proposition, and would vote against it today. Hmmmm.
And the mormon church were big supporters of Proposition 8.

Just sayin'...............

Two members of the church's second-highest governing body, the Quorum of Twelve Apostles, quoted from Mormon scripture on the sanctity of marriage as they laid out a week-by-week strategy for boosting Mormon involvement before the Nov. 4 election in voter registration efforts, phone banks and distributing campaign materials.
“What we're about is the work of the Lord, and He will bless you for your involvement,” apostle M. Russell Ballard said during the hour-long meeting, which was broadcast to church buildings in California, Utah, Hawaii and Idaho.

I have a gay son and will vote for Romney. I just hate to see Obama screw up the US another 4 years which might be too late.
