It makes logical sense to commit acts against oneself, if it's for "the greater good" with regards to rubber stamping a more aggressive foreign policy.
Exactly. Which is why David Koresh and his followers set themselves on fire etc. to try to frame the US government.
Same thing with the self-inflicted gunshot wound at Ruby Ridge.
See, we can play the game from the other side to absolve the government from everything.
Uh...the guy is an undercover SAUDI agent who was inside al Queda of Yemen. He volunteered to be the suicide bomber in their plot and delivered himself, and the new bomb, to his bosses. They shared information with the CIA all throughout the mission.
It's not a "manufactured" terrorism case. It's a brilliant piece of spy-work.
Right. People here are dumber than I thought. They actually think the US initiated the plot. This guy was inserted into the right place at the right time, and was able to foil the terror strike.

There's no telling what the First Desperate Black President will pull out of his hat for the "October Surprise." The way this President operates, there's no doubt in my mind that something is being concocted at this very moment.
That's your bias at play. BTW, it's MAY!

Now, I wonder when Obama will come forth with a YouTube campaign video taking credit? Seal Team 6 takes a back seat to Barack Obama, the CIA can too, right?
Should the president not point out his accomplishments in your world? It's nothing but sour grapes from you guys.
The reality is that Obama has snuffed out more top level terrorists and essentially decimated OQ since taking office, all while protecting us at home.
Maybe he should dress up like an extra on Top Gun and put up a banner, would that be more toned down for you?

As Jon Stewart put it last night:
Quote:
“Republicans, like all Americans, wanted very much to see Osama bin Laden dead. At the same time, they believe Barack Obama is incapable of doing anything right.” So how do the Republicans square away those competing ideas? Stewart played a reel of Republican personalities — including Jonah Goldberg and John Bolton — criticizing President Obama for “bragging” about his giving the orders to raid and kill Osama bin Laden.
“Okay, fine! You got our number one enemy! But you bragged about it, so it doesn’t count,” Stewart joked, and then played clips of former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld minimizing Obama’s accomplishment by saying it wasn’t a tough decision to make.
Rumsfeld’s assertions about the Obama decision to kill bin Laden is ridiculous, Stewart said, because one person who did have the chance to go after high-level top Al Qaeda operatives in Pakistan was: Donald Rumsfeld, who in 2005 reportedly turned down a raid mission.
