Please read carefully what I wrote. The majority of Americans deal with some sort of socialism, but that does not make them a socialist either. Radicalism by definition is anything that defies the norm. Anyone wanting slaves to be free during the height of slavery was considered (at that time) to be a radical, and yes the klan can be considered to be radicals. If you grew up in a bad neighborhood or even a good one some of your childhood friends may grow up to have radical and even terrorist thoughts and ideas. You might not like what they become, but you cannot deny at onetime you were friends or at least knew them personally. Now the Geneva convention was signeed by OUR president who is in charge of OUR military so why would'nt the rules apply to him as well? The war in Iraq was illegal, not by our standards but by international standards. We as Americans believe that whatever that our courts/congress says regarding world events goes regardless if there are international rules that are broken, and since we and the UK have veto powers in the UN it gives us carte blanche to do whatever that we want. As far as bush's military service is concerned, he never denied what 60 minutes found was wrong just the way that they got it. The records as well as eye witnesses reports that he did not show up for all of his required drills. If a military person had done the investigation correctly, bush would have been exposed as the coward that he was. Ask any AF member how you can be a 1lt for 5 years when a promotion to Captain is pretty much automatic unless disciplinary actions were taken or you did not complete your requirements for promotion i.e not participate for drills.
I realize that this is off subject but, if he had completed his military training he would have handled the Iraq situation much differently and perhaps it would not have been so much FUBAR.
Obama's parents were socialists, he did seek out friends and mentors who were racists, radicals, communists and Marxists, and he did have friends that were domestic terrorists, and he did receive scholarships for his prep school and both Harvard and Columbia. so where exactly are the falsehoods?..... and please take your head out the sand before you answer.

His father (whom he never really new) may have been a socialist of some stripe, although that makes it difficult to explain why he was so harshly critical of the socialist government he worked for in Kenya. But his mother spent the bulk of her professional career bringing explicitly Western capitalist values to the third world poor through the development and implementation of micro-credit and micro-finance models.
His step-father (whom he knew only briefly) was an executive in a oil company... a decidedly non-socialist profession.
And his grandparents (who actually raised him) were respectively a salesman and a bank VP... hardly socialist.

I am often puzzled at the complete fiction that right-wing nut-jobs have assembled around this president. Bill Maher has pointed out that back when lefties were hating on Bush, they were at least hating on the real guy... attacking him for things he actually did and said.
But the Obama of conservative fever dreams is worse than a caricature... he is often a total fabrication. Almost nothing used in the personal attacks against him generally turns out to be true upon examination. He has never made the tiniest effort to take away your guns. He is recognized everywhere outside of the US as a "center right" politician. And his policies have breathed not a hint of the Marxism/communism of which he is constantly accused.
What would possible inspire such foamingly irrational behavior on the part of the Obama haters? why... if Obama were genuinely that bad... is it a straw man you guys attack rather than the real guy?
Who is the real guy? the real Obama? He himself bragged that he was a blank slate upon which people were free to project any image they wanted. Well, they've done that and he has only himself to blame. Transparency is not his strong suit.
Our GDP has been anemic for six years. Anything under 3% is dismal. If Limbaugh is keeping people from focusing on the economy and gas prices, he's doing Obama a favor.
