Well, that certainly explains your lack of thought on so many other issues

Love it! Thanks for bringing some levity to the discussion. I wouldn't mind owning a Canadian or two. Some of those mounties are cute, eh.

And that same precedent is already being used in the federal courts for SSM. It's quite easy to change nothing in the Loving opinion except the word race to sex, and it will equally apply to SSM cases. That's how ridiculously close the 2 cases are from a legal standpoint.

You have an emotional and sexual relationship with your cat?

The animal, small child, furniture as a spouse argument is the dumbest one. To get married you need consent and a SIGNED document provided by whatever department in the state or county or city that is required.

If that is really the best you have then please just cancel your C-D account, coat yourself in catnip and have a blast with whiskers.

With 35 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday, unofficial returns showed the amendment passing with about 58 percent of the vote to 42 percent against.
In the days before the vote, members of President Barack Obama's cabinet expressed support for gay marriage and former President Bill Clinton recorded phone messages urging voters to reject the amendment.
Meanwhile, supporters ran their own ad campaigns and church leaders urged Sunday congregations to vote for the amendment. The Rev. Billy Graham was featured in full-page newspaper ads supporting the amendment.

Congrats NC! Onward Christian brothers!
Certainly a lot fewer bigots than I would have thought.
