Actually, I voted against Amendment One. See, I'm not a partisan hack and I can objectively weigh my personal disapproval over gay marriage versus my penchant for individual liberty.

Regardless of all of this chest beating and wall wailing; you'll get what you all deserve due to your focusing on chit that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with RESPONSBILE GOVERNING!

All of this simply distracts from the issues pertinent to the running of a country and the impartial formatting of foreign policy to deal with other countries.

I don't agree with gay "marriage" and I'm neither conservative and definitely not liberal. What Obama is doing is just trying to attract voters. How about having a president getting the government out of the marriage business and out of people's personal lives?

Obama pretty much put the last nail in his own coffin.

None of the people who are now mad would have voted for Obama anyway. Don't think we are fooled by their outrage. BTW a Catholic priest outraged is so full of hypocrisy. Especially about marriage. Many people want the bible thumpers to bud out because we know them and how they truly are.

How is it that supporting the equal treatment of gay people under our civil, secular laws is an attack against religion or religious people?

So treating gay people equally is a "war on religion?"

A license issued by the government describing the rules of marriage has nothing to do with religion.

Is permitting 17 year olds from marrying but not 16 year olds, a war on religion? I didn't think so.

No, the polls haven't been wrong. Take a look at voting patterns and then talk.
