I thought there were more unmarried females than males?
Maybe if polygamy was allowed,there would be no need for welfare,as men would be forced to care for their children. Then again,isn't it better to just stay single and have multiple partners? Or even have an open marriage?
For me personally,I would marry a bisexual male crossdresser,but his other husband? Wife? would have to a be a male,not female.
Fostering children is none of the government's business. If the government decides to get into this business, it wouldn't make any difference if polygamy is allowed or not - people will pop out children to get support or abuse the system, married or not. Hell, yesterday I quoted a Florida woman has 15 children and another on the way.

Sooner or later it will fall apart because the bachelor clan will have no investment in the society. Almost all polygamous species settle mating rights with violence and the alpha of the group tends to have short careers.

Again, it doesn't happen. Certainly not in Saudi or UAE where polygamy is widely accepted and sometimes in your face.
Men who can't find wives can't find wives in either form of union.
On the other hand, it's called evolution. Who cares about that some men can't find wives? If their gene die off, great. Better for the society.
If you truly care about those men without a wife, maybe you should volunteer. If you aren't willing to do so, then maybe you should let other people live the life they want.
