Meh... studies how slonger breastfeeding correlates to higher iq. I read that fats in breast milk are specifically designed to promote brain development which leads to kids being smarter.
I do have very smart kids - especially the last one who nursed until he was almost four.
I agree with the writer. Nothing wrong with b/fing a 3 year old; but this cover is deliberately outrageous. They have deliberately selected a young, hot looking mama and a kid who looks older than his stated age in a less than usual pose. I guess you can put Time right there with all the other checkout tabloids that like to shock and make money.
I think 3 years old is too old to still be breast feeding your child.
It no longer is serving the purpose of assisting to stengthen a child's
immunity.
Naturally speaking, no mammal breast feeds this long.
Oh wait, humans do
I had a friend who breastfed her son till he was 3 1/2-4.
It was just as ridiculous to see, as the Time pic.
But it really isn't any of your business if someone else chooses to breastfeed for longer, is it?
There are other reasons to breastfeed.
I don't care if someone breastfeeds til their child is 3-4.
Just don't expect me to think it doesn't appear ridiculous at that age.
Bonding should have occurred a while ago....
Intelligence booster - think again.
Recent studies have proved there is little evidence to support such claim.
Loosing wieght on the part of the mother, well there might be something
to that
I support breastfeeding.
Can someone tell me what the benefits are past the first six months to a year?
