I really would like to know why White people always know what Al Sharpton is doing or saying while the average Black person could care less. Whites are fascinated by the man and are the obvious "audience" since they are constantly quoting him.

That is why I asked.... I want to know if anyone listens to Al. I only know a few black people well enough to ask in person.

In all honesty, the only time that most Black people hear about what Al Sharpton is saying or doing is when White people discuss it....like this thread.
Al Sharpton has a great scam running. He runs to an incident involing a Black person and then White people turn the cameras on him and start rolling. When will White people "get it" that they are the ones who fuel him? If you asked the average Black person what Al Sharpton said about anything in the past few months, we wouldn't have a clue. But White people know about his blogs and radio shows and Tweeter and marches, etc because they are the ones following him. If you (White people) would ignore him, he would go away. You don't see me following David Duke on Tweeter, do you?
