If the Republicans became a left leaning party, Id vote for them. America doesn't have one, they have the far right GOP and the center right Democrats.
I totally disagree with you about blacks being natural allies of the Republicans. A better analogy would be blacks have a few things in common with their antagonists. The republican platform has major flaws (trickle down econ, anti union, anti-multiculturalism, anti-progressive policies). They view the black youth as thugs based on appearance, blacks in general voting based off promised handouts, nothing wrong with confederate flags on state buildings and license plates, etc.
No matter what blacks and Republican agree on there are more major disagreements that will prevent any coming together. There will need to be major institutional change prior to any voting shifts towards the GOP…

What percentage of African Americans are strongly religious? Just curious because the numbers of AA in jails and prisons is awfully high.
In regards to signing up for the military, all the people I know who signed up were those who didn't have any other career options... and that goes for military people of all races. The military has great perks like tuition reimbursement, family support, bonuses and the options for geographic relocation.
Lotta aas are religious but not religious. Kinda like how how mafiasos do things, party on Saturday and praying on Sunday. A lot of us also think god determines our destiny, nd not other factors.

Maybe you better go back to school and study the immigrant experience in America. Most Asians came over poor and with nothing at all in their pockets. They still even come over by boat. The difference between the poor Asians that arrived and the poor blacks that were born here is that Asians are willing to work two even three jobs doing anything at all to get ahead. That means that the typical Asian immigrant family is supported by two adults working collectively four to five jobs and saving all of their money to invest in themselves. Asians also cook most of their meals from scratch. The typical poor black family is on welfare, not working very much, making babies and spending money on fast food and whatever bling they can buy.
And what about the Irish and Italians that arrived in America on boat and without any money? Or the Jewish people after WWII?
Blacks can no longer blame slavery for their woes. Currently, their problems are all of their own making. Bad lifestyle choices and a lack of person discipline.
Your posts are on point, "ethnic America" mentions how geography, govt policies, and culture in general play a stong role in the successes of various groups. Few people know that west Indian immigrants have higher incomes than white Americans, or that asian Americans surpass white Americans in jut about every category. The more reliant on govt a group is, the more detrimental are the results. The worst case scenario is the American Indian on the reservation.
Like Irish immigrants, black Americans are heavily involved in the political arena. The same issues Irish experience, black Mexicans are going through, even the emphasis of sports over education. Most black americans have achieved success, it's the left behinders that get the attention. They're re whites in similar dire straights, but theyre not concentrated in major media centers like many poor aas.

It hasn't? The highest quality of living locations on Earth are primarily in Europe. Norway, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, etc. are doing quite well.
This is easy. Republicans could get me to support their party if they believed their own rhetoric. Lower taxes, a strong defense, a smaller government could sway me if those ideas were implemented in a way to make the country better, but the Republican party doesn't believe in those ideas and therefore in my opinion, they don't seek to implement those ideas towards bettering the whole nation.
In fact, I think the main appeal for many of these ideas for Republican voters is the perception that those policy positions will "hurt" the many groups of Americans that Republican voters don't like and whom they don't believe are real Americans.
Stop alienating people who aren't straight white married christians. Actually reach out to and attempt to get ideas that appeal to voters who aren't straight white married christians.
Stop lying so much about public policy. This is a big one. I don't feel passionately about many issues, and even issues I have no inclination to support the Democratic party, when I do a little reading about whatever public policy issue, the Republican party is usually outright making stuff up and lying. It is amazing the amount of lying that Republican politicians engage about basic reality.
Disavow the many racists in the Republican party.
Stop attempting to destroy President Barack Obama. Disagree with the man on substance and factual information, instead of conspiracy theories and the ohhhh he is "different" not so subtle racist crap.

Let me just add one--stop preaching morals that you don't even follow yourselves. Yes, lefties cheat and lie and do all those bad things, but at least we don't claim to be on this moral high ground to begin with!
