The world is spoiled by Hatred. Hatred is the foster child of Ignorance and Intolerance and favorite of the twins Envy and Jealousy. Hatred is friends with Anger and Rage and is the constant companion of Misery. Hatred depends on Fear and Distrust and supports Cruelty and Revenge. Hatred is always in a stew over something, seething slowly until it froths over in a venomous broil. Hatred is destructive: it poisons all it touches, and makes a ruin of everything. To harbor Hatred is to shut out all that is good leaving room for only what is bad. Hatred assumes many forms, but it cannot be disguised for it has the stench of Corruption about it.

Hey, that's not bad, for you, Wendell.

That's why George Bush told us to all love one another.

Most important things in life depend on making the right choices. To do so requires sound judgment, for which neither intellect nor study may suffice; and, whenever in doubt, one need have resort to good advice. It is even the more so in politics, for it is not always a question of "right" or "left," but in choosing rightly and wisely. In this it is easy to be blinded by partisanship. You know that you are too partisan when your loyalty to your political party takes precedence over your loyalty to your country. On the subject of politics, in particular, people have become so polemic and so partisan that there is no place for argument anymore. The opposing party has become "the enemy". One cannot even agree to disagree for there is no tolerance for opposing views.

In his farewell address, George Washington (who is considered the father of our country) advised against political parties. The rest of our so-called "founding fathers" had no hesitation to choosing sides.

I don't know, man.

I hated LBJ and his minions in the sixties, but I never feared them.

I just hated them - on their own merit!

I will strongly disagree with members here at times, might shake my head, you may do the same about me lol.

But I see some spew being posted sometimes, mainly in the immigration section and I just want to say do read what people say,but don't necessarily take it as gospel. There is alot of ranting about immigration, mainly focused on Mexican immigration, rightfully so but when I see posts saying all Mexicans don't want to speak english, and are demanding people bow to their will I think some people who live hundreds of miles from any Mexican just believe and jump on the ranting bandwagon.

I spent several weeks in San Antonio this year which is predominately Mexican and everybody I met spoke english, and was nice.I was surprised myself because of all that I read I figuired I'd be treated as the freak gringo and have to strain to communicate, well it wasn't that way.

We rip into each other politically on this section also, but man debate is one thing, hating people is another.I don't hate anybody I can say truthfully save maybe Osama Bin and company, and maybe with him(Osama) it's just a matter of protecting ourselves, maybe feeling hate is too strong also toward him in Jesus's view I dunno.

Anyway, just wanted to say that, whether Jesus is a liberal or conservative I just hope he is liberal at forgiving me and conserves a place in his kingdom for me.
Liberal Democrats inspire anyone who is sane to hate them.

The tone of that statement epitomizes the point of this discussion.

Hey since someone dragged up my thread from 2007 I'd just like to point out that since then I have learned to put spaces in between sentences and spell a little better. Does that make me a "progressive"
