This article mentions some in China and Canada. Many are on fakebook, which is no surprise.

BBC News - Fake forum comments are 'eroding' trust in the web

Since Obama is big on using social media to reach the uneducated youth vote I wouldn't be surprised in the least if many of the gay liberal posters on Facebook and twitter- and even C-D -were paid for by his campaign staff.

Yup. The admin should make a list and post it in a sticky at the top of the page.

I think there are plenty of paid liberal posters here and not just for the gay threads.

Its usually easy to spot the regurgitated talking points.

gays, NRA issues, guns and self-sufficiency, and never facts on the economy or banking as its too involved for the far right to pound out the pablum.

I can see it for products to make money. They are usually pretty easy to spot...use the full name of the product (even with TM symbol) and make outrageous claims about how great it was (this floor cleaner made my floor sparkle, cooked dinner, and solved my crippling emotional problems).

Otherwise it's the cry of the wingnut..."There's a vast evil conspiracy of people being paid to use logic and reason on my delusions." All you know when you see that is the person is a raving nut and they have no other way to discount what you are saying...just like my old neighbor who was convinced my dog was a CIA agent in disguise spying on her.

I know what will come nest *Subsound is a paid poster* blah blah blah. If I am please show me one of my checks. Seriously, provide proof. I think this is the third time I have asked because I am not seeing the checks these people supposedly are. I gotz **** to buy.

Actually most of the ones posting here aren't paid- they're campaign volunteers. A few have outed themselves in the elections forum. Which of course negates the entire purpose of doing PR work on internet forums in the first place.
