The mods generally do a pretty good job here, especially dealing with the drive-by nutjobs that pop in to create offensive threads and what not.

My question is would it improve the forum by imposing penalties on posters that are constantly making disparaging racial comments? Starting thread after thread accusing certain races with blanket statements?

Personally, I feel it's hard to even discuss a topic around here anymore because the same people flood the thread with inane garbage and suddenly your post is buried by 6 pages of name calling involving race or political bent.

Just report them. Click the red and white triangle next to where you give reputation points in the upper right hand corner of their posts.

I see 20 anti-gay posts a day lately. Its a real turn off.

Some on P and OC dont care about this issue, so its safe to assume those who keep posting about it have an agenda.

Another anti-Black troll thread just popped up AGAIN. I agree with the OP to some extent.

I'm not talking about some guy that pops in and posts something right out of a neo-nazi handbook that's easily dealt with.

I'm talking more about the more casual assaults with better wording and lots and lots of volume.

For example, what if I start 10 threads a day here with a link to a crime committed by a specific race? By itself that's not reportable.

What if I just continuously imply that people that vote a certain way or that don't agree with me do so because of racial bias?

What TOS violation would that be or isn't?

Yes, I havent even touched the racism issue.
I already started a thread on the BBC observations about social network paid posters.

Its safe to assume those posting at 8 am everyday arent on here for casual info or debate.

Who decides what a "disparaging racial comment" is?

Use the reporting tool, let the mods do their job.

They could start with the Illegal Immigration sub forum. That place is a cesspool of racism. It is like visiting a white supremacist site.

How many pro-gay posts do you see each day? I guess you haven't counted them, have you? Maybe you need to try something like that just for fun.
