It won't matter what reports come out. Lisa Jackson runs the EPA and if they deem nat gas and fracking bad it will be so. Same with coal. All the nonsense reports that said the new regulations would save 40K lives a year with nothing to back them up or any reference to where they got their numbers pushed the new regs shutting down coal plants. They will just make up more stuff if need be.

I don't suppose this...

"Shale Resources and Society Institute"

It'd be easier to just relocate Americans to Mali (or Liberia) and then strip mine the whole of the US.

Hinting...

Where did you get that quotation in the OP? It's certainly not from your link.
The EPA has been all over this in my area, they have tested wells:

UPDATE 1-Water safe in town made famous by fracking-EPA | Reuters

WASHINGTON, May 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said drinking water is safe to consume in a small Pennsylvania town that has attracted national attention after residents complained about hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, for natural gas. The EPA has tested water at 61 homes in Dimock, Pennsylvania, where residents have complained since 2009 of cloudy, foul-smelling water after Cabot Oil & Gas Corp drilled for gas nearby. "This set of sampling did not show levels of contaminants that would give EPA reason to take further action," Roy Seneca, a spokesman for the regional EPA office, said about the final set of data released Friday. The agency released data for only 59 of the homes as they could not contact residents at two of them.

It's natural phenomenon, I have relatives that live in the area. It's nothing new and a problem before the fracking which *may* have exacerbated the issue. The problem is no solid data before the fracking to compare too.

38% is way too high..too high to gamble your drinking water on.
Most of the issues I'm aware of is release of the fracking fluid from holding ponds. It's very high in sodium which of course is not good for plants or aquatic life it it makes it into a stream but you're talking about salt. No long term effects.

Because I'm asking you. It's your post.

It is odd that you did not think to ask it yourself.

Like any other extraction technique it has some deleterious effects. These must be accounted for and the remediation costs paid by the Frackers attempting to make money from the operation. The problem is making a corporation responsible for its own actions. Good luck with these fly-by-night Frackers. (BSG meaning)

Ahhh you greenies, you think everyone else has the same mind reading abilities you do....

If I want an authoritative answer I go to the source which is what I suggested you do.

I don't have the vast know-it-all expertise you do which is why I suggested contacting the author....

So lemme get this straight, if someone posts an article on quantum mechanics you expect the poster to answer any question you have about the article...

Get real....
