Listen, we could go on all night like this. What is it black protesters are asking for here specifically??? Or since you can't really answer for all of them, what is it YOU think should happen to the Jena 6???
I'd be fine if the other 5 were put on probation and Bell gets a couple of months due to his priors, but no one ever asked me.
The last kid should be released and a dialogue between whites and blacks should begin. It's quite apparent that there are racial tensions down there that need to be addressed. Charging all those kids initially was wrong because they didn't charge the others in any of the other instances. There must be equality. If one side feels slighted, they should "march" and do whatever else they need to do to get there problems heard. It seems to have worked. If it aint broke don't fix it. Nothing arises curiosity more than a crowd of people.
The charges were reduced and Bell's conviction was thrown out. You got your way and STILL had to march because blacks needed something to march about...

Whatever..You tried to act like he got off! He didn't. That's not sterotyping, it's the truth. Black ALWAYS do time.
I have to disagree with this. Look at OJ. You might disagree but I think he was guilty as sin and got off due to a sympathetic jury and an extremely intelligent defense team.
Why live if you can't be passionate about something. I've seen to much to lie down and not have a voice.
I can be passionate too -- but I can't blame everything that is bad on ALL whites or ALL blacks! It's all racism, one way or the other!
What happened in Jena was unfair, and that's why people marched (and not just black people but whites and hispanics too! Heck, there might have been some Asians there too for all I know!)
There were whites marching too. Did they need something to march about?
There were whites at the first civil rights marches. There were whites rallying with Sharpton in Durham, NC to string up the entire Duke Lacrosse team.
The march, the protest, and all it entailed was not organized by the whites. The fact that some participated is irrelevant to my point in this case.
