They attacked full force when the article with some quotes from Pacquiao showed up with at least one Biblical quote that he says he didn't make. This attack on the man because of his Catholic beliefs was so very sad but although some of them withdrew their foolishness not a one had apologized by Friday.
***The Courage Campaign was also mum on its hit job late Thursday and was instead touting its "online organizing" to "change (Pacquiao's native) Philippines and USA."
This bigoted anti-bigot brigade mimics a wave of similar campaigns against both social and fiscal heretics who refuse to conform to "progressive" values. Targets include Rush Limbaugh, the American Legislative Exchange Council, Mitt Romney donors, Wisconsin's union-reforming governor, lieutenant governor and GOP state legislators, Catholic health care providers, and now black church leaders and boxers who dare to state their religious views publicly.
Let this be a teachable moment on pernicious "community organizing" and brazen liberal hypocrisy. There is nothing more intolerant and chilling than the self-appointed, self-unaware tolerance police.***
At the end of the day, the only reasons to deny gay people the right to legal unions all stem from prejudice and bigotry. It's as simple as that.
At the end of the day, the only reason to deny people the right to marry someone of the same sex is because enough people in this country still oppose it. Same thing with polygamy, polyandry and group marriage which most people still oppose.
The Supreme Court will likely decide the issue either by declaring same sex marriage constitutional or by declining to accept any of the cases now working their way through the court system.

Didn't you start this same discussion the other day, or provide substantial commentary on it? I'm attempting to figure-out your fascination with the gay issue. Are you gay?
I like this boxer. For his athletic skills. But he's a foreign-national, an elected official of a foreign government. Placing himself into national issues here was inappropriate. But, if he wants to do that ... why has he not criticized the Roman Catholic Church for the horrendous child abuse, sex abuse, abuse of women ... it's brought upon so many people in so many countries? I suspect he's been on the DL and likely is a very closeted gay. I say that because I've learned over the years that those who protest so loudly against something most often are just the type of person or danger they seek to warn us about.
It must be a very slow news day where you live. Because this is an old story.

So either way, you see gay marriage being legal very soon?
I see more than the present 32 states banning same sex marriage.
All of which will mean nothing if the SC says it is their right to get married under the law. FYI many of the states did this years ago and attitudes have changed since then, and many states did it through their legislature not through a vote of the people of the state. Sooner or later the courts will end up having to judge it on a civil rights basis and at that point gays will get their rights.
Morality is more than reason enough to be against same sex marriage,
Whos morality, Yours? Sorry we do not pass laws in this Nation based on Your morality, they are based on the Constitution and Bill of Rights
