When I lived in California I felt like an idiot because everyone was so smart.
Methinks that will hold true for you in the other 49 states. Or, according to Barry Hussein Soetero, is it 56 other states?

If anything, this thread just reinforces the idea that Liberals (at least here) are pompous elitists who think they are superior to the uneducated morons who inhabit red states. Nevermind the fact that to arrive at this conclusion it takes a tremendous amount of statistical cherry-picking and misrepresentation of facts.

Are people in blue states more educated? Without a doubt. Blue states are more urban and have a much higher percentage of white collar work that requires a degree. Red states are more rural and don't require a college degree for as many careers. However, education and intelligence aren't the same thing. I've known plenty of morons with degrees just as I've known many brilliant people who only have a high school education.

Taking the 2006 McDaniels study in your link and applying that data to the results of the 2008 election the BLUE states that voted for Obama outperformed the Red states.

137 of McCain's electoral votes came from states with IQ's of 100 or less, only 33 electoral votes came from states with IQ's above 100.

132 of Obama's electoral votes came from states with IQ's of 100 or less (largely California) but 234 electoral votes came from states with IQ's above 100.

I think any way you look at those numbers, BLUE states are smarter.

I'm pretty dubious to the idea that Miss. is a blue state. Electoral mapping dismisses this almost instantly. Everyone knows Nixon won over the bible belt with the southern strategy and I don't think any of that has changed.

All the red states I've lived in are great hospitable places with low unemployment and friendly and great people. When I lived in blue states (New York, Illinois) there were angry and apathetic people all around who were just out to control every little thing in your life. Most of the dumbest people I've come across in my life were in NYC. Maybe because it's a just one big overcrowded multicultural dump.

FYI, I didn't vote for either. Does that make me doubly extra super smart?

Yes McCain IS the smarter choice compared to your evil Lord and Savior Obama.

Of course they are. And the red states are getting worse as they breed amongst themselves and have more offspring than the responsible blue staters.
