i'm curious too.

it lists tip o'neil as being "named" to speaker of the house in 1976 but tip didn't become speaker till 1977 and his predecessor, carl albert, didn't decide to step down till january 1977.

34 pages about nothing? About normal for P&OC.

If you think that's the most likely option, you really are not a very good judge of likelihood.

Just randomly pointing stuff out? You had no actual point you were trying to make?

Do you do that a lot?

So Obama never looked at his own bio that he had written?

Really?

Do have any idea why we hire agents in the first place? Because we do not want to do what they get paid for. That includes as you point out shopping for a publisher... and creating all the sales material that goes with it. As you yourself mention... he was at Harvard, in law school, and President of the Law Review. He had enough on his plate already without micromanaging the work product of somebody he had hired to take work off his plate.

It is frankly goofy to expect him to pay attention to everything.

His reputation was already completely secure.

Nonsense. I would be willing bet $100 he still doesn't know about it.

Information always come from someplace... even information that gets garbled in the process.
What do you mean 'we'? You keep throwing yourself in this like you are part of this story with Obama so you might as well climb down Mt Everest now. You are not the subject, Obama is. If his reputation was already secure it still would have been priority 1 but I don't believe a Barack Obama could go 16 years without knowing he had a booklet published about him. Information always comes from someplace. The question is where? Even if this literary agent thought he might have been born abroad, why choose Kenya and Indonesia, the very countries that birthers have said he was from, and raised in at some point? Why not Zimbabwe and Malaysia? Either Obama told her or some in his inner circle did. I am pretty sure this story will be vetted more.

Some either need the delusion of thinking he did not, or, they are hoping to keep saying things like this, that he didn't in hopes that they can convince others that read their posts that BO didn't know a thing about it, and that of course he was not born in Kenya.

Of course, it gets even more amusing. If his supporters were reality-based on this, then it would mean that BO also didn't look at the things that are revealed on these two pages.

Yeah, SCREEN SHOTS, boy, do we have screen shots!

and...

http://www.wnd.com/2010/04/138293/

One page has one screen shot, and the other has three, I believe it is.

Screen shots of other publications from all over the globe also referring to Obama as "Kenyan born!" Hmm.....

Excellent point. If an error is going to be made, how in the world did the country of choice become "Kenya?" As you said, why not Canada or South Africa or Jordan or Venezuela? Is it just a coincidence that the country of birth was "Kenya" without ever having talked to Obama about where he was born?

This stinks to high heavens, and paid poster HistorianDude will argue it to death. He does so in every thread debating Obama's birthplace. Unfortunately, he doesn't have an answer to your astute observation. He thinks he has an answer, but just looks foolish. I guess getting paid to post is a shameless job?

Good catch!
