Because that's what the Birther lie has always required. The Birther story is that she had him in Kenya because they wouldn't let her on her plane back to the states at an advanced stage of pregnancy. So (the lie continues) she stayed, had him there, and then took a subsequent flight home.

No... just sticking to the idiotic Birther narrative. But that said, at least (as you admit) it's a "likely" assumption to make, as contrasting with the entire idiotic Birther lie which was never likely and never had any evidence to begin with.
It is also fascinating to watch Birthers again rewriting their narrative when caught with their pants down. In four years, no Birther ever suggested that Obama and his mother traveled home by sea... until their long held story blew up in the face of those nasty little facts.
This is diagnostic of pathological lying... the story that evolves and mutates in the face of its own impossibility.

The anti-Birther story has never had
any holes in it. It is simple, ordinary, uncontroversial and supported by every single piece of actual evidence that exists. The story is that he was born in Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu Hawaii... just as all the documentary evidence proves and every person in a position to know has always testified.
Now... if you want a story with holes; you want to tell us again how two poor college students, one of them 9 months pregnant, managed to travel to the opposite end of the globe in 1961 at the relative cost of about $7,000? Then how did they end up in a hospital in
Mombasa when they were allegedly visiting Obama's family in Nyang’oma Kogelo which (if Birthers had bothered to look at a map) was several hours over unimproved dirt roads from Mombasa, and far closer to even better hospitals in Nairobi?
In fact, how was Ann Dunham even able to travel to Kenya
at all given the extensive immunizations required... several of which were prohibited from being given to pregnant mothers?
