(Reuters) - Iran has hanged a man it said was an agent for Israeli intelligence agency Mossad whom it convicted of killing one of its nuclear scientists in 2010, Iranian state media reported on Tuesday.
Tehran has accused Israel and the United States of assassinating four Iranian scientists since 2010 in order to sabotage its nuclear program which the West suspects is hiding Iran's attempt to develop a nuclear weapons capability.
While Israel has declined to comment on the killings, it regards Iran's nuclear program as an existential threat and has threatened military action against Tehran. Washington has denied any U.S. role.
Just another Iranian diversion. They control their people by fear by having mass hangings every few days. Torture nearly anyone long enough and they will admit to nearly anything. Looking up around the net it looks like Iran based its findings on a Wikileak.
You can't trust any country to be honest about this stuff so the guy may have been anything from an Israeli agent, some random criminal called an Israeli agent, CIA, Saudi Agent and so on and so forth. <shrug>
I have no doubt that Israel would do this, just like I have no doubt Iran has been up to no good as well....just like us.
More drum beating for a ruinous war with Iran? Sounds like it to me. We cannot let them develop nuclear electricity and sell their oil to china without going through our rigged market can we? That would break our monopoly and we cannot let that happen. Imagine the disaster that an open and unrestricted market in oil would create. All that profit at risk. We have to destroy Iran before they destroy us.
