I certainly would be very mad if this happened to me. The man was carrying $22,000 in cash to buy his car, and the police confiscated it for no reason. It then took him 4 months to get his money back. Personally, the pig, I mean cop, who did this is nothing but a gangster looking thug with tats on his neck. No, there is no such law. You can carry as much cash on you as you want. I think you are referring to the law that any transaction over $10,000 has to be reported to the IRS.

really? then I guess people like paris hilton should be having lots of money confiscated from them alot of the time. she has reported that she normally carrys in excess of 10k and has over 250k in her home.
