Angered By "Messed Up" McDonald's Cheeseburgers, Tennessee Duo Returns To Vandalize Eatery | The Smoking Gun
Quote:
Incensed about the “messed up” cheeseburgers they purchased at a McDonald’s drive-thru window, two Tennessee men allegedly returned to the fast food joint and vandalized it, cops report.
The peeved patrons were apparently set off by the paucity of onions on their cheeseburgers.
According to a Murfreesboro Police Department report, Christopher Slate, 21, and Sean Mosey, 23 were collared in connection with Sunday’s early-morning attack on the McDonald’s. Each man was charged with felony reckless endangerment and vandalism.

I can sympathize to a point. I've driven home to find part of an order missing or the dreaded mayo on the burger when you specifically said no mayo, or ketchup and mustard pickle and onion only. Or you get overcharged and they don't give you a receipt so you can verify. I've never had the urge to go ape $&^% and vandalize the place and cause damage, though. The worst I did was once on a return visit to Mickey D's I threw some trash onto their landscaping by the order box. That was for stiffing me on an order of fries. An empty drink cup, a an empty bag and a wrapper, no harm done.
Its part of the hazards of drive thru. Going in isn't much better, nowadays, though. I ordered pancakes once while waiting for a auto parts store next door to open. I got syrup, no butter. So I return and flag down the cashier who took my order and she gives me one pat of butter. I always get at least two with the drive thru, usually three. Wendy's used to be pretty bad so its not just Mickey Ds.
Chick Fil A is the exception. They've never messed up an order and double check to make sure your order is right.

Life Rule #173: NEVER be a diickhead in the fast food drive-thru line. You are guaranteed to have a spitball put on your cheeseburger.

I've never heard McDonald's referred to as an Eatery.

Drunken idiots! Many burger places (low and upscale restaurants) regularly get my order wrong (no pickles, no tomato). Do I throw concrete through the window, throw the burger back at them, or get POd? I open the burger, remove the pickle and tomato, and enjoy the burger. I miss Burger Chef. They had a "fixings bar" which allowed you to dress your own burger. They were also the first chain to offer a kids meal. McDonald's stole the idea with their Happy Meal.

No harm done? As someone who lives a block from a McDonalds and ends up with windblown McDonalds trash in his yard on a near daily basis, **** you.

I must say that in my heart of hearts, I have wished ill will upon the fastfood drivethru.

These guys do prove the axiom “stupid is as stupid does”.

The one drive thru that is the absolute worse is Wendy’s. I actually talked to a mgr about that. He said they had a standing rule to get orders out in 2 minutes.
They fail to ever give you ketchup, you get 1 napkin and god forbid you actually need some customer service. It really upsets them.
I NEVER get my order right at a wendy’s drive thru.

Yep. I've told my wife I don't know how many times as she asks for a little of this and extra that and on and on. Just take what they give you and yank off what you don't want is your best chance. They are either gonna screw up your order as they got twenty burgers to put together in five minutes or they are gonna rub the bun in their armpit and laugh and say here ya go mr. want everything made special. I never go through the drive-thru if she's in the car.

Why do you keep going back then?? They do have good burgers though.

I was at a BK years ago and this guy comes in and slams down his bag on the counter and screams I come in here every day and you guys get my order wrong all the time. A guy behind us all says well why do you keep coming back and we all laughed and he walked away.
