Here's a little something about threats to Presidents since the early days of the Republic. I took it from Slate thinking you may not want to dig it out of the whole article. You get a link if you must have it.

There's a long history of threatening presidential representations. Hanging in effigy was a common form of political protest in the 18th and 19th centuries. Presidents Washington, Adams, and Jefferson were all hanged in effigy; and before the civil war, "Hang Abe Lincoln on a Sour Apple Tree" was a commonly sung parody of "John Brown's Body." (There was a similar song about Lincoln's southern counterpart, Jefferson Davis.) George W. Bush was routinely hanged and burned in effigy in the United States, including during the famous "Pants on Fire Tour" led by Ben and Jerry's co-founder Ben Cohen, who hit the road with a 12-foot tall effigy of Bush.

I guess I failed to see anyone talking about doing that in a classroom but lefty talk like that can get taken out of context pretty easily and you did it.

Dont bother. They know damn well it happened. They are just playing dumb because they dont want to talk about what goes on in our schools run by liberals.

I guess YOU missed the fact that the thread is about behaviour INSIDE THE CLASSROOM, a classroom where students thought they had some kind of right to take control of the feather's lesson plan. If it was me there would be at least one lid sitting in the Vice Principle office waiting to learn their discipline. Not sure where kids today think they're running the school.

Well, this is good to know.

Classrooms should be a forum for a free exchange of varying viewpoints and the teachers should place their personal political leanings (and beliefs on other issues) on the back burner for the sake of expaning knowledge. Classrooms should not be used as an indoctrination tube.

This teacher took what could have been a great learning lesson and turned it into an unnecessary, politically biased (and factually incorrect) shouting match with a child. If I had a kid in her classroom they would be pulled out immediately because one can only guess at the things that weren't caught on tape.

Roy Sold Boy, the TOS require you to properly attribute cited material, especially when you quote it. Seeing your link, I can see why you'd want to avoid giving it out. Would wanta show that Obama has suffered much more the bush ever did. And much of the bush bashing was in other countries, not here in the states.

Being a teacher doesn't mean they are smart. And you wonder why kids can't learn better? How does the saying go? Stupid is as stupid does? I have heard equally stupid things coming from teachers.... perhaps they need to have standardized tests they must pass in order to teach.

Default could this be a pattern for this 'teacher'

It is the end of the school year, this recording captures one outrageous event but do you wonder what else she screwed up, just this school year?

You cannot be that ignorant or myopic and provide a quality education to students.

Thank tenure for maintaining her position. The unions are willing to sacrifice our children and the country's future.
