Bain Capital has been used as a political weapon against Mitt Romney since 1994, but now his opponents might be rethinking ads about attacking him for his time at the private-equity firm as the ads are being criticized by some Democrats as well as Republicans.
The biggest problem with the online video: Even Democrats say it attacks the business of private equity too much.
Why are these dems surprised? Obama has been flitting around the country talking about the greedy rich, social justice, fairness and class warfare for a year now. His attack(s) on Bain fit right in with that meme.
See, he hopes that his clueless supporters don't realize how important private equity firms are and have been to this country.
In the past two weeks, the Obama campaign has rolled out several attacks on Romney and his time at Bain Capital.
But so far, it's not working.
Instead of a bump in public opinion for the president, recent polls show Romney's approval ratings on the rise -- and sharply so in the key swing state of Florida.
Remember, this "rollout" was the big strategic offensive of the obama campaign to demonize and "scare" voters away from Romney.
Didn't AG-Holder testify before Congress (see his Operation Fast & Furious testimony) that if a person really believes what he is saying then it isn't a lie?
"We can re-write our history." - Michelle Obama on the 2008 campaign trail
Apparently this isn't a matter of the Obama White House lying, but just either really believing what they are saying at any given moment or re-writing their recent history (as in withing days or hours).
Oh, an inconvenient fact for the left is that Romney left Bain Capital approx. 3 years before these closings occured.
Cory Booker is an honest and dedicated man. I think he does not think in party affiliations, only how to make things work properly.
Some people are like this. Look at Mayor Bloomberg. He had been a lifelong Democrat, switched to Republican to win his first election as Mayor, and later became an Independent.
There is little room in either party for those who think for themselves and are sincere about being a servant of the community.
The Democrat Party used to represent the working man. Then, under Clinton, it started taking big money from Wall Street. That ruined the party and people are saying it now runs what was once thought of as moderate Republicans, as far as their candidates actual service to the common man once they get into office.
Obama takes money from Wall Street in both his campaigns. Why is it that the 'liberal' media does not feature the Occupy movement so much? It is because the Occupy folks hate the monied interests in both parties, which is ending up in dragging the country down - re this last and ongoing financial collapse.
Obama has even taken funds for Bain. He is walking a tight line, here. All he can say is that Bain experience does not prepare Romney for the office of President. He cannot knock Bain, itself, after taking funds from them, can he?
No, Booker is an honest guy and there is not much room for such people in today's national US politics.
I saw the interview and Booker blasted both sides not just Obama.
