If history follows through; Hispanics WILL be called "white"; at least the light skin ones. Back in the day; Irish and Italians WEREN'T called white; we were lumped in with Black and American Indian people as a group in the eyes of "society".
Liberals once pretended they cared about the envirornment, wild life and forests but that was only when it came to the birth rates of Americans. Now they want to bring in the whole indigent populations of the planet, encourage them to give birth here and have Americans pay for all these births.
Now we just cannot have enough people. Liberals could not care one iota about the environment and too much population now.
In the last census, they were counted. The Govt. went out of their way to get them to complete the forms in order to get a more accurate accounting of people living in the US. They even had the Latino Action groups helping them making sure the people knew that they would not face deportation if they fillled out the form. And it isn't the white population that should be worried about this as much as the black population should be since they;re more at risk than the white population due to their already lower % numbers.
I’ve been black and living in California my whole life and haven’t been worried yet. Why should I be now.
I would've thought it already did, but anyway, who cares?
I certainly don't care, in fact I really enjoy living among and working with/for the Hispanic community. The town where I currently live is around 40% Hispanic, and the town where I work is almost 70% - both are very nice places, and I've never had any problems in either. I grew up in the diverse Bay Area, though, so it would actually be weirder for me to live in a majority-white neighborhood.
Anchor babies & illegals are fueling the invasion into the state.
That is why California budget is screwed up.
They even fashioned the idea of taking money from children to help pay for the shortfall.
The "illegal invasion" has stopped and is not likely to return to pre-recession levels. Part of the reason is Mexico's birth rate has fallen sharply over the past few decades.
Also, one of the most reputable demographers (Dowell Myers) in California just released a study showing California's population growth will be SLOWER and more steady over the next few decades. It will be a growth which is mostly driven by natural increase, NOT immigration.
Whites have been helping blacks since the founding of the country. It was republicans that pass legislation for blacks. Whites also marched with MLK, whites have helped with the underground railraod & many other things in the history of this country.
Who wouldn't be xenophobe of people breaking into the country?
And i'm grateful to THOSE PARTICULAR whites that did so.
But otherwise, if you really thought that the coming Latino hordes were so bad for blacks, you wouldn't care. Hell, you might actually welcome it if you could prove it.
And i'm never xenophobic about anyone coming here. Hell, send a few million more. I'm not worried.

And what about those immigration restriction groups who proclaim to care about the environment as a reason to stop immigration (illegal and legal)? Certainly, they are being very sincere, right?
