a few elected officials and small pockets (at most) of black people at Tea Party rallies doesn't change the fact that it's MOSTLY a party of older white men.

Ask Rubio how that new revised Dream Act is working out for him. The GOP will never pass it and if they were to, Arizona would lose their minds. The Arizona GOP passed the "show me your papers" law that allows (and almost requires) the police to pull over anyone of "questionable immigration status" (darker skin) and have them prove their citizenship. Romney called it a model for the entire country. Sounds like the same GOP to me.

Well we have been a nation of mostly whites so that makes sense. As the demographics change so will the makeup of the GOP. Political affiliation is not inherently race based. It's based on ideology and a belief system. Today's young entrepreneurs are tomorrow's rich old Americans. Everyone is a republican with their own money. It doesn't matter what color their skin.

I'll see your 3 minorities and raise you 98% of the republican party is still old rich white men. It amazes me, republicans love to trot out like 2 or 3 minorities and let everybody know they include everybody in their party.
